Industrial Engineering
STRATA-G offers our customers unique capabilities in Industrial, Producibility, Human Factors Engineering (HFE) and Human Systems Integration (HSI). A growing challenge of technology development is how well human interface will impact technological advances. The practice of HFE/HSI ensures that users of a system can operate and maintain it to a desired level of performance within a planned operational requirements. HFE is a key differentiator in the development of successful technologies that optimize and enhance human capabilities. STRATA-G is a leader in the field of HSE/HFE. Our STRATA-G HFE/HSI technical services ensure effective linkage between human factors, personnel, training, and safety in system design and capability development. Our approach places emphasis on the needs of the ultimate end user and maintainer during the design, acquisition, or upgrade of a new system or component. STRATA-G HFE/HSI engineering team look beyond the physical design of the system to analyze the impacts of the system to personnel planning, training, and maintainability. This includes human systems integration planning, critical task analysis, interface and workstation design, user evaluation (both virtual and live), human behavior modeling and simulation, and simulation-based design reviews to develop visualizations of system designs.
In addition to our HFE/HSI expertise, STRATA-G provides manufacturing enablement and producibility technical support. Producibility engineering support is best defined as the measure of the relative ease of manufacturing. STRATA-G provides Producibility Engineering Planning (PEP) support to our growing customer base. A design is not automatically producible. It becomes producible through structured activities as planned for and executed during the design/development process. That planning process is called the Producibility Engineering Plan or PEP. STRATA-G developed PEPs include all measures taken to ensure a timely transition from Concept to Design to Prototype and then on to low risk economical production. The purpose of PEP is to ensure that material designs reflect good producibility considerations prior to release of a Technical Data Package (TDP) to manufacturing. That is, our STRATA-G engineers support the process taking engineering designs and technical data packages (TDPs) to optimize the manufacturing/production of a part/component/system out of identified bill of material (BOM) parts/materials, using unskilled workers, tooling, and can it be manufactured in optimal time/schedule. Our STRATA-G engineering, prototype, product development and manufacturing team can optimize the ease and economy of fabrication and assembly.
