Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
and Open House

Local business leaders, elected officials, and interested citizens enjoyed the hospitality of Strata-G Solutions and Strata Form, Inc. at a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on July 29, 2011. The gathering took place at Strata-G’s manufacturing operations facility located on Gilmer Drive in Huntsville with Mayor Tommy Battle and Chamber of Commerce officials among the guests. 

Founded by Devin Whitaker in 2008, Strata-G Solutions provides rapid-response weapons systems engineering, design, prototype, production, integration, and test services to both government and industry customers. Strata-G employs more than 100 people and counts various programs on Redstone Arsenal among its customers.

Strata Form, Inc. was created in 2010 by Devin Whitaker, President of Strata-G Solutions; Marty Hirsch, Strata Form Vice President; and Southern Patio, a manufacturer of outdoor furniture. Their goal was to diversify from the defense-oriented business of Strata-G and build a company that would provide jobs for the local area, bringing back some of the work typically lost to overseas labor. Strata Form specializes in commercial products such as custom plastics, blow mold, injection molding, manufacturing, product improvements, and plastics mold/tooling design and fabrication.

The venture has proven to be quite successful as Strata Form provides more than 155 jobs during peak operations to people from HUB Zone communities.  With the “Made in USA” logo prominently displayed on its products, Strata Form is a prime example of the entrepreneurship to be found in Huntsville that is creating employment for the local economy.
